Welcome Back to Yale Primary School for 2025!
Dear Yale Families,
As we begin school for 2025, I am excited to welcome everyone back to another exciting year at Yale Primary School. After arriving here mid-2024, I have been impressed by the dedication of our entire school community and look forward to a full year at Yale! Children have returned keen to learn, driven by our motto, “Be the Best You Can Be,” which has been evident in the first weeks of school.
2024 was a very positive year, thanks to the commitment of our staff, students, and community groups. 2025 has started the same, with our Parent Welcome evening and an opportunity for you to provide feedback via an online form which will be sent out on Compass. My thanks go to our Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C), under the leadership of President Jen Groves, who organised a stall for the evening which provided valuable information on how our families can support the school through the P&C.
2025 holds the promise of exciting developments with the launch of our initiative, Boordakan Koorl – Towards 26, a strategic vision aimed at shaping the future for our school. A copy will be made available soon on Compass. This year will be pivotal as we lay the groundwork for our new business plan and gear up for the Public School Review scheduled for 2026. Your active participation and feedback will be important as we embark on this journey together.
A final word regarding student attendance: Every day counts, and it is our main focus this year to improve student attendance in every year group. Our staff have worked hard to develop exciting rewards and fun environments for children to want to come to school, but parents, we need your help to ensure that your child attends school every day possible.
