From the Principal

Dear Parents

Last Friday Yale Primary School held our ANZAC assembly which was run and organised by Mr Riley who always does a marvellous job putting the ANZAC commemoration together, thank you Mr Riley.

I would like all parents to encourage their child to participate in the Premier’s Reading Challenge for 2024. This year Mrs Walker is running the Premier’s Reading Challenge as she has done in past. The Premier’s Reading Challenge begins on the 6th of May and Mrs Walker would think it amazing if we had as many students sign up for the challenge as possible.

Parents can sign their child up for the Reading Challenge at home, but if parents are unable to do that Mrs Walker is happy to help parents sign their child up. So let’s see if we can have more students participating this year. Well done and thank you Mrs Walker.

Mrs Hardman is beginning to create a Robotics club at Yale Primary School and is in the process of taking expressions of interest from students in years 5 and 6 who will eventually participate in a Lego Robotics competition in November. This is first time we have participated in a robotics program and I would like to thank Mrs Hardman for her enthusiasm for the project. Several Primary Schools in the Thornlie and Gosnells area along with the Senior High Schools are participating in this project.

I look forward to seeing the students enjoying this program.

Kind Regards

Glen Read Principal
