Computer Room/classroom

Dear Parents and Carers

During the holidays the building company contracted to rebuild the Computer Room/classroom and chaplaincy office commenced work on setting up the site ready for the construction of the new building in the middle of the school.

I expect that the building process will take until April to complete. The contractors have set up the fencing to keep the staff and students safe. The old fencing was removed and replaced by LKS WA construction. The overall construction is supervised by the architect appointed by the Department of Education.

When the building is completed it will be a fantastic facility and a welcome addition to our school. The Computer Room has been sadly missed by the students and even though we have done our best to supply the students with devices it will be great to have the Computer Lab going again.

The new Science Room looks great and the refurbishment has meant that the students in our school have the latest and the greatest in the form of a primary school Science Room. The new placement of the interactive whiteboard and the colourful science furniture makes the Science Room a vibrant place for learning. I would like to thank all the staff who took part in the project while I was away.

The staff met and have selected Wednesday 30 August to hold our “2023 Parent Night”. This night will be held from 5.00-6.30pm.

Mrs Churchill our Associate Principal has taken up a position as the Principal of North Fremantle Primary School and we wish Mrs Churchill all the best in her new appointment. At this point in time we don’t know if Mrs Churchill will be returning to Yale and we won’t know for at least 6 months.

Kind regards

Glen Read
